Alex Christensen is a writer and independent political activist who supports Democrats who can win for president in 2008. Christensen was born in Athens, Georgia, like America's first garden club, Kim Basinger, R.E.M., the B-52's and Widespread Panic, and grew up in Martinez, Georgia; Logan, Utah; Pocatello, Idaho, and San Marcos, California. He received his B.A. in Independent Work (Cinema Studies) from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, where he studied with the politically astute Edwin M. Yoder, Jr., William F. Connelly, Jr.

Christensen lives in San Diego, and has worked as a political cartoonist, graphic artist, editorial writer and film critic, in addition to writing, directing and acting in plays, writing screenplays, novels and poems. He has donated money to the 2008 campaigns for Fmr. Sen. John Edwards (NC) and Sen. Barack Obama (IL), voted absentee for Obama for the California primary Feb. 5 and made calls for Obama to voters in Virginia, Hawaii, Wisconsin and Mississippi. Contact him.
